Solid Habits, Strong Liver World Liver Day SOLDA Webinar |
World Liver Day was established to raise awareness of liver health and the growing burden of liver diseases, many of which are preventable yet remain underdiagnosed and undertreated. In the African context, its importance is especially pronounced due to the high prevalence of viral hepatitis, limited access to screening and treatment, and broader healthcare challenges. The day provides a vital platform to promote prevention, early detection, and policy action, while amplifying regional efforts to reduce liver-related illness and deaths.
In recognition of this, SOLDA is hosting the Solid Habits, Strong Liver webinar on Wednesday, 22 April from 15:00–16:00 SAST. Registration is complimentary. Featuring leading experts, the session will explore the importance of routine liver testing in building trust, the evolving spectrum of steatotic liver disease, the role of antenatal hepatitis B screening in preventing mother-to-child transmission, and patient perspectives on barriers to long-term adherence.
