Important city landmarks include the railways station, the central market, the city hall, the central
mosque, the cathedral, the iron house, the Tunduru botanical garden, and the fortress. Outside the city limits, the Maputo National Park, the Inhaca Island, the Ponta do Ouro beach, and the Macaneta beach showcase the natural beauty of southern Mozambique.
